whaddo i do (my curriculum vitae)

As you can see, we're a well-storied autodidactic polymath of all kinds, primarily artistry, writing, and programming... but mostly pixel art, writing, programming, and game design misadventures.

No, we did not go to university for this stuff. We just learnt it from what the professionals had to say, and applied their knowledge accordingly.

a glimpse of our past works

We don't regularly use these accounts anymore, but we'll link them to you in case the old crap we made when we were a meager teenager is of interest.

writing

TV Tropes

We've been a loud and proud TV Tropes editor since the 1st of July, 2016! Here are some pages we tended to edit. Note that this is all a part of a collaborative effort, after all, so some rewriting was definitely abound.

We'll list some more TV Tropes examples as they come to mind.

Poetry

We also tend to write poetry. A fuck-ton of poetry. We'll have a page for the poetry listed at some point, but if you know us on Discord, you've likely seen a sampling of them.

video game modifications

Most of these have not been publicly released. They were done throughout our near-10 years' worth of experience with programming.

Left 4 Dead 2

We contributed to the Left 4 Bots mod, helping to optimize some code.

video game projects

Some are original, some are not. Some are spearheaded by us, some are not.

"What will you do for a living?"

What once started life as a Murder Drones fangame has since evolved into its own New Weird world, inspired more closely by Deus Ex, Disco Elysium, the Metal Gear series, Gothic architecture, furry stuff, the wild west, Tarot, Warhammer 40k, alternate history (like what if Leon Trotsky took over the USSR instead of Stalin???), T.S. Eliot's The Waste Land, and musings on communism, capitalism, and 1980s U.S. culture.

It is an immersive sim, where stealth, combat, and diplomacy are valid options.

You would've taken up contracts for case officers, who each had agendas of their own. While that happened, you and your fellow party members reckoned with both their pasts... and themselves.

A nameless narrative would've also been deployed, as well as an extreme fondness of semiotics.

Super Mario Bros. CX

started development: Uhhhhh I forgot lol. 2024???

status: on the backburner

This one would've been a port of, as you can imagine, Super Mario Bros. X's source code from Visual Basic to C, with the help of the SDL3 library. The only reason we didn't work on this was because of... [gulp,] motherfucking CMake. We'll have to learn this one at some point, when other projects are out of our way.

Based on an idea Oleivar Rudi posted on Bluesky, with his blessing.
